January 2002, Backpacking & Intrepid Tour, 17 days.

The Thailand trip was as part of my 35 days Christmas break in Bali, Thailand and Singapore. 

The Intrepid tour consisted of two parts. The first part was traveling Westwards towards Myanmar border. It followed the death train line, hellfire pass and the bridge over the River Kwai. The second part was relaxing on the beautiful Southern beaches and snorkeling around little islands near Phuket. 

Love Thailand. The famous Khao San Road was unique with its own charms. The foods were fabulous and everything was cheap. Mild weather, spicy foods, beautiful people, amazing culture, romance - not much else for asking.

The highlights of the trip were elephant riding, bamboo rafting, Khao San Road hustle-bustle, Thai massage (it was really really gooood), island living and spicy foods.
